Sarah Hall is one of the UK’s most  talented authors. Twice nominated for Man Booker Prize, the first and only writer to win the BBC National Short Story Award twice, she has written 10 highly acclaimed novels and short story collections. Rich, wild and vital, Sarah’s latest book Helm is the story of a unique life force, and of a relationship: between nature and people, neither  of whom can weather life without the other. This year, Sarah is the judge for our short story competition,  The Astley Prize.
