Olukemi Ogunyemi - Brown Girl in the Ring 

Olukemi Ogunyemi is a Scottish-Nigerian author determined to raise awareness on racial inequalities. In her book, Brown Girl in the Ring, Olukemi talks about a theoretical table where we all can come together to share our experiences of racism in our society - whether that be conscious or unconscious. Awareness brings understanding and choice.  
Olukemi would like to bring to the table the opportunity to discuss some of the things in the book that happened to her and the opportunity to ask questions. She would also like to share her own discovery of her acceptance of her Scottish side, which led to her winning the 2022 Proudly Black and Scottish best book and author award.
