Local authors Paul Hart, Sarah Fraser and Sandra Ferguson reflect on their individual journeys to getting their books into print.
Paul Hart is a Highland-based author who draws on his 19-year RAF career in his Operation Trilogy.
“In an ever-changing world, MI6 was thrust into the spotlight, where the intelligence agency demonstrated guile and tenacity while employing untested weapons of war against a ruthless enemy. Balancing national security against the allies’ egos left a new alliance delicately poised. The world teeters on the edge of war, with the potential for at least one nation to collapse and millions to perish! Within the world of intelligence, change is the only constant.”
Moray-based author Sarah Batsford Fraser has spent her whole life weaving tales, from penning stories as a child, to professional journalism
for 20 years. She's now moved from newspapers into teaching, passing on her love of the written word. She has published four novels – two of these, Throw Caution To The Waves and Beyond Brogie Bay, are contemporary comedy fiction, while the follow-on, Decadence, takes readers to darker, more glamorous places.
Sandra Ferguson (Mills) has been writing for most of her life—but only for her own enjoyment! Last year, she set herself a challenge to
finally write and publish her first book, so chose one of the hundreds of ideas she’d had swirling about her head for the last several years, and created her goblin fantasy adventure novel for children, The Moonlight Market.
