The Highlanders Museum – Behind the Scenes Tour

The Highlanders' Museum,
31 Aug – 31 Aug

Located within the mighty bastion of Fort George, the Museum houses a stunning collection of artefacts and tells a fascinating story. Amidst the array of medals, cannons, paintings, statues, and soldiers' personal effects lies the tale of the Cameron Highlanders, Seaforth Highlanders, Queen’s Own Highlanders, and Lovat Scouts, who throughout their regimental histories established themselves as some of Britain’s finest soldiers.

In addition to exploring the museum with an expert guide, you will have access to the extensive museum archives, seeing some of the incredible items held in the collection, learning how they are preserved, and how the collection is used to help descendants of Highland soldiers trace the stories of their ancestors.

Please arrive at Fort George at least 15 minutes before tour start time. NB Please book by 5pm on Friday 29th August. Special directions for access will accompany your ticket.
