A short story workshop with award-winning author Sean Lusk.
What is a short story? How to begin and end, how to structure, what makes a good short story subject, and what makes it memorable? In this three-hour workshop, Sean will give tips and advice on short story-writing, together with plenty of opportunities to try things out in a series of short exercises. Suitable for beginners and experienced writers alike. Just bring pen and paper, or a laptop!
Forres-based Sean’s short stories have won the Bridport, Manchester Fiction and Fish Short story prizes. He is the author of two widely praised historical novels, The Second Sight of Zachary Cloudesley (Doubleday/Penguin 2022), and A Woman of Opinion (Doubleday, July 2024).
