Marc Marnie - My Favourite Hour (Revisited)

Nairn Community & Arts Centre,
2 Sep – 2 Sep

Three years ago the twisted goddess Tanera told me I was to do a One Man Show. Of course I said. I always agree with Tanera, it saves time. Never having done a One Man Show before I immediately called my friend, a Dainty lad from County Durham called Martin Stephenson. He understood immediately that my One Man Show would require two of us, and foolishly volunteered.  We had very little idea of what to do. I had some typed pages and he had a guitar. Clearly a meeting and a plan were required. Five minutes before curtain in the wings of The Little Theatre that meeting occurred. We still had very little idea of what to do. Somehow, due largely to the kindness of a Nairn audience, I’m told the show was a success. Which is nice, but doesn’t  help me now. This one is what is known in the music industry as “the difficult second album”. The one after the one with all the hits. Clearly Martin and I need a meeting...
