Don't miss 'The Wave' parade with giant puppet sea creatures!
Come along, wear something blue or green, join the fun! Meet at Seamens Hall, Harbour Street - look out for the flags..
Join The Shoal - if you come at 10.30 you can pick up a fish to carry in the parade
Alternatively we have merperson hair, or get a little 'sea spray' sprinkled on you (biodegradeable glitter!)
Local parents – if your child has already got a wearable piece of sea creature art they have made in school with artist Izzy Thomson ( she will be visiting schools from August 28 - 31) then make sure they bring it along!
The parade will move off at 10.45am, from Seamens Hall, along beside the Sundancer and following the path alongside Nairn Beach to the Putting Green, ending by James's, where there will be creative activities on the go with Nature 4 Health , storytelling with Gordon Maclellan (Creeping Toad) live music, performance and community group stalls with fun sea themed activites. The parade route is fully accessible.
The parade will feature puppets created by the Nairn community at workshops taking place on 30/31 August at Seamens Hall - (come and join in!) and by the East Nairnshire community with Amy Neville.
