MEET THE FESTIVAL TEAM
Emma Heritage
Festival Assistant
Emma is the newest member of the Nairn Book & Arts Festival team, joining as Festival Assistant.
Having recently moved from Oxford to Elgin in July this year, Emma brings fresh experience from her time as an events coordinator at Oxford University. She currently shares her love for producing great storytelling as the Production Manager at Oxford Operatic Society (remotely!). In her work, Emma is passionate about driving community engagement in the arts and spotlighting young and amateur artists as part of a diverse and accessible programme. She hopes to support a festival which engages with the very best talent the Highlands has to offer.
In her personal life, Emma grew up in Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of Shakespeare, and was raised from a young age to appreciate playwriting and musical performance. Since moving to Moray, she has loved getting to know the local arts scene and has joined Elgin Musical Theatre Society as a performer. Now, she's excited to take on a more hands-on role for 2026, and is looking forward to gaining insight into all aspects of the festival and to working with Artistic Director, Tanera.
