Workshop - Botanical Batik Workshop Amy Neville

Amy Neville will guide a workshop on botanical batik using the Sgraffito technique. Sgraffito is an Italian word meaning to scratch through – often associated with ceramic designs. Batik is a contemporary, yet at the same time ancient, technique which is so enjoyable to learn. Using local natural beeswax as a resist and watercolour paints on cotton fabric, we will create a piece of framed (with an embroidery hoop) art work on botanical themes of your own choice.

Please bring along your own inspirational elements to refer to during the workshop. All equipment and materials will be provided.

Complete beginners are very welcome.
