‘‘In 1970, I was in my final year studying graphic design at the Royal College of Art when the Rolling Stones office rang the college and requested that a design student meet with Mick Jagger to discuss the poster design for their upcoming European Tour. I was the very lucky bloke to be chosen to go along to the meeting. During the next four years I designed all of their four tour posters and during that time, the logo for their own record label. After a spell as a freelance designer, I became art director at United Artist Records and then creative director at Chrysalis Records. My final job was creative director at The South Bank Centre.”
A rare chance to hear John Pasche – the designer of the legendary Rolling Stones ‘lips’ logo – discuss his fascinating career.
