We’re seeking a Digital Content Assistant to enhance the online presence of the 2025 Nairn Book & Arts Festival (30 Aug – 7 Sept). This is a part-time role (8 hours/week) running for 16 weeks from mid-May to mid-September which can be fully remote. You’ll work closely with the Festival & Marketing Assistant and Artistic Director as part of a small, collaborative team supporting the delivery of one of the longest established arts festivals in Scotland. The Festival & Marketing Assistant will oversee day-to-day tasks to ensure cohesive marketing messaging, with overall strategic direction from the Artistic Director. Key Responsibilities:
- Create engaging Nairn Book & Arts Festival branded digital content for use on social media (Facebook & Instagram), including graphics, text, and videos, using Canva.
- Assist in scheduling and maintaining social media (Facebook, Instagram, X), ensuring audience engagement and interaction with festival artists.
- Support website updates, event listings (TicketSource) and email marketing (Mailchimp).
- Assist in post-festival analytics and evaluation to assess digital campaign effectiveness.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in content creation & social media management, preferably in the arts.
- Highly proficient in Canva for fast and effective digital asset creation.
- Experience with website editing, Mailchimp and SurveyMonkey.
- Organised, proactive and able to work independently in a remote setting.
- Passionate about books, arts and culture, with an understanding of arts audiences.
- A proactive self-starter who can work independently while being part of a small, collaborative team.
Contract Details:
Duration: 16 weeks (mid-May to mid-September), 8 hours per week.
Fee: £1665 (8 hours per week across 16 weeks at £12.60 per hour)
