Postcards from Nairn

Postcards from Nairn
Thursday 5th September, 5pm at The Little Theatre
This delightful film is a short compilation of footage from the National Library of Scotland Moving Image Archive. Shot by amateur cinematographers, it shows glimpses of life in Nairn from 1934 to 1964. Maybe you know someone who is featured or can shed light on some of the locations, now changed but still recognisable. Directed and produced by Sandra MacDonald, editing by Quentin Soldan.

Jess Smith
Thursday 5th September, 6pm at The Little Theatre
Jess Smith’s family spent ten years travelling Scotland’s coastlines living in a single decker bus. They were part of Scotland’s Travelling people. Jess has penned her cultural journey in a collection of books and she loves nothing more than sharing tales and singing songs from those early times. Join her for an evening as she reminisces and relives those early memories.

The wanderer invites you to join him at the fireside. Bothy Tales is a blend of standup comedy, storytelling, and theatre, presented by John D. Burns and based around his book of the same name.
