Clamjamfry is an old Scots word for a rabble.  We thought we'd reclaim it as a new Scots word for a 24 hour cabaret, taking place in Nairn on 28-29 August 2027.

We intend having all kinds of acts, from children's band Sprog Rock to author Irvine Welsh on the decks. There will be wondrous creatures, some glittery, some heavily eyelinerated, magicians, drag artists, talking pickled vegetables, Furtive Haggis our house band, short films and a string quartet at breakfast.

It's a daft event with a serious heart.  We want to reinvigorate cabaret in the Highlands, connect performers to audiences and demonstrate that creativity can take a myriad of forms.  Oh and that sleep deprivation sometimes improves an artistic experience.

We're working hard to bring all this together, with tickets expected to go on sale in April 2027.  There will be 24 hour tickets and also tickets for each of the four 6 hour sections.  After 9pm it will be over 18s only.
