2 Sep – 2 Sep

Sean lives in Forres. His first novel The Second Sight of Zachary Cloudesley was published by Doubleday this June. Set in the mid-18th century it tells the story of a son’s love for a father he barely knows, and his quest to rescue him from captivity in Constantinople. With clockwork automata, a determined great aunt and a hint of magical realism it’s a story full of love and humour. Sean will talk about the experience of becoming a debut author later in life, and about researching and writing a historical novel with a contemporary feel.
