This delightful film is a short compilation of footage from the National Library of Scotland Moving Image Archive. Shot by amateur cinematographers, it shows glimpses of life in Nairn from 1934 to 1964. From Gala Weeks to a visit by a very young Queen Elizabeth, a tennis tournament, wild swimming in the Findhorn and the floods of 1953, the film gives a wonderful series of snapshots of Nairn back in the day. Can you spot any friends and relatives from the 60s? Maybe you know someone who is featured or can shed light on some of the locations, now changed but still recognisable. Anyone who loves Nairn should be intrigued by this celebratory look at our town.
