Our impact

Sponsor festival

At a time when funding for the arts is being squeezed across the UK, festivals like ours play a crucial role in supporting artists while bringing the arts to the local community.

Our outreach programme for local schools and care homes also ensures that some of the most vulnerable people in society gain access to a range of creative activities at the time when they need it most.

For almost twenty years we have:

  • Brought around a hundred artists, writers, musicians and performers to Nairn for the festival each year.
  • Played host to a range of high-profile speakers, such as Chris Packham, Kirsty Wark, Jim Naughtie, Kate Adie, Sally Magnusson and Hardeep Singh Kholi.
  • Run scores of creative writing and art workshops in local schools, directly reaching around 200 pupils per year.
  • Provided a platform for children and young adults to develop their creative talents through our workshops and open mic sessions.
  • Run vital Creativity in Care workshops for residents at local care homes.
  • Helped promote and support the Gaelic-speaking community by running Gaelic language events for all ages.
  • Supported new and established Highlands-based writers and artists with paid opportunities during the Covid-19 pandemic.
  • Helped boost the local tourism and night-time economies.
  • Promoted Nairn as a fun, vibrant and creative place to live.

With your help, we can do even more.
